Spinanigans › Learn › Bonus Buy Explained
A bonus buy, also called a feature buy, lets you pay a set multiple of your stake to skip straight to a slot's bonus round instead of waiting for it to trigger.
The game shows one or more buy options, each with a price such as 100x or 200x your stake. If you accept, the cost is taken immediately and the bonus starts. Many games offer several options, for example different free-spin modes with different multiplier behaviour.
A bought bonus can burn through a balance quickly, because you pay the full price up front. Some games list a different RTP for bought features, and some casinos and countries restrict or ban the feature. Bonus buys can also affect the wagering on a casino bonus, so check the terms.
Gates of Olympus 2500, Gator Hunters 2, Duck Hunters 2, Fruit Fusion: Three Pots, Forever Split Megaways, Red Hot Chilli Chickens offer a buy option. Two of our reviews call out the opposite: Lawn n' Complete Disorder has none, and Johnny vs Chicken uses a menu of buy-in options.
That depends on your budget and tolerance for swings. It removes the wait for a feature but does not improve the odds, and it can drain a balance quickly. We make no strategy claims.
No. Some regulators, including the UK, do not allow it, and casinos may turn it off for certain players or countries.
Sometimes. Some studios publish a separate RTP for bought features. Check the game info screen.
