Boom is Twist Gaming's shooter slot, and it plays like a retro first person game with a reel attached. It's one of the Juice titles now spreading to more casinos. A five by five grid fills with monsters, and a weapon reel picks your tool. The pistol shoots two or three random symbols, the shotgun four or five, the flamethrower torches two rows, the sniper takes three shots and prioritises multipliers and bombs, the rocket launcher blows a three by three hole, and the BFG clears all 25 positions at once.

Everything you destroy pays out. Bombs take out their whole row and column, and multipliers from 2 to 100 times are added together and applied to the spin. The bonus is the best part. Three, four or five bonus symbols give 8, 10 or 12 free spins, and a rage meter fills as you destroy things. Each new level adds three more spins and quietly upgrades your arsenal.

Empty weapons disappear, pistols disappear, and the BFG and rocket launcher get far more likely. Health packs add extra spins. The RTP is 96.7 percent in every mode, and max win is 10,000 times your stake. You can buy the bonus for 150 times, the super bonus for 300, or go all or nothing at 100 times where every weapon is a BFG. In our demo we bought the 150 times bonus.

It ran nine spins and paid about 17 dollars on a one dollar bet, which is well under the price. One run, so don't read much into it. Loud, dumb and a lot of fun. 7.8 out of 10.
